Thomas Brennan received an M.F.A. in Photography from the University of Arizona in 1983 with a thesis project combining interests in remote digital imaging and the pinhole camera. Subsequent projects have investigated approaches to portraits, the landscape, and historical archive studies.

Thomas has received three Artist Grants from the Vermont Council for the Arts and four Scholar in Residence terms at New York University. Thomas Brennan is an Associate Professor at the University of Vermont.
