This World Below is a phrase from Johnny Cash’s version of “Wayfaring Stranger” heard while passing a music store in Dublin on the day that Cash passed away. Caught at the beginning of several trips through Europe, the lyric became an underlying motif for these photographs of mediated (while still deeply felt) interactions with history and the present.
